Bug Description

The update-manager reports an error while trying to upgrade from Mythbuntu 7.10 to 8.04 Alpha 2.

Error:

Could not install '/var/cache/apt/archives/update-manager_1%3a0.87.9_all.deb'
The upgrade will continue but the '/var/cache/apt/archives/update-manager_1%3a0.87.9_all.deb' package may be in a not working state. Please consider submitting a bug report about it.
subprocess pre-installation script returned error-exit status 1.

You likely got this while a mirror was just syncing. Did it sort out on it's own?

I just tried to do an "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade", but it's not working.

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  update-manager: Depends: update-manager-core (= 1:0.81) but 1:0.87.9 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

I should also note that I am using the main ubuntu repository at http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/.

After restarting the computer, mythbuntu seems to revert back to the low-graphics mode. I have now decided to reinstall from an 8.04 alpha2 cd image.

This bug isn't in mythbuntu, but rather pycentral/update manager.
