Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu 7.10
evolution 2.12.1
Using IMAP mail

I added a new filter with criteria:
Sender: Contains: <email address hidden>

And for the actions, i set:
Move to folder: folderName
Set Status: Read

Expected Results:
All messages that match the criteria get moved to the folder, and are marked as read.

Actual Results:
When the filter gets applied, it only moves to the folder, but does not mark the message as read.

I tried swapping the order of the actions, to mark as read first, then move to the folder.
When I do this, the filter successfully marks as read, but does not move the message to the other folder.
It's like it only performs the first action in the list.

I know the difference between a support request, and filing a bug.
And I know how a message filter is *supposed* to work. I have successfully used them without issues in other mail clients such as Thunderbird or Outlook.

Evolution filters simply are not working in the way they should.

Unless you can somehow prove that I'm doing it wrong, I must insist that this is a bug.

The
1. mark read
2. move
should work as per upstream, if not that is clearly a bug.

The other way should work, or give a warning in order to remain a sane UI, which is a feature request.

This is incorrectly marked as a support request.
