I found that the problem happens every time if you click on the day of the month following the current one. If you first click on the previous day, and then on the next, then the calendar looks fine.

P.S. Also, the calendar looks fine if you open it with the Super+M keys and select the days of the month using the keyboard.

P.P.S Today (first day of the month) there is no problem with calendar.

Hello,

This bug affects me too.
If I try try to reproduce it few times by clicking on a day of the next month and clicking on the day of today and re-clicking on a day of the next month, etc. then the session crashes when I want to close the notifications (and calendar) view.

I noticed this problem some time ago but now the bug seems to have disappeared. The display of the calendar is done normally.

Yes it's still not solved if you want... nevertheless, I no longer notice this bug under Ubuntu 22.10 whereas I noticed it before! And this as well with real and virtual installations. So sorry for those who still have this bug but I repeat what I said before, I don't have it anymore, that's all. I'm not a specialized technician, I see, that's all.

Krisztian Kecskes (kkecskes) wrote :

The problem still persists in Ubuntu 22.04.3. Whether the problem appears depends on whether the Calendar application was open or not. If the Calendar has not been opened in the current session and I click on a specific day, everything works correctly. However, if the Calendar has been opened before, the error described above occurs: the calendar in the panel collapses and does not open the Calendar application.

If I manually stop the gnome-calendar-service after the error occurs, the calendar in the panel will then be fixed again and will be clickable again until the next time the Calendar application is opened.
