Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
I'm using Unbuntu 7.10, the Gusty Gibbon release. This copy was pre-loaded on my computer from Dell.
When I type words into text boxes Firefox underlines every single word as misspelled. I've tried installing differant english dictonaries, but it as though spellchecker is on, but can't find the dictonary to compare words to.

I had this problem until I tried this:
Open a new tab and navigate to about:config.
Search spellchecker. dictionary and change the value of that to en_US.
