Cursor goes missing in games

Bug Description
Unable to play any games in Full screen mode like 0AD or Kingdom Rush (steam) which involve a custom cursor.
MOnitor is Acer T231 (Touchscreen monitor)
Hardware is B68 motherboard with Athlon processor.
I wonder if it has to do with Wayland and full screen games.
With the cursor going invisible it is impossible to play the games. have to exit the games to get back the cursor. Effectively cannot play games at all.
