Bug Description
After upgrading from 21.10 to 22.04 the old Firefox was removed from my Dock favorites. I readded Firefox to my favorites which adds the Firefox icon to the favorites as expected.
However, clicking on it will open the Firefox snap on the bottom of the Dock. So now I have 2 Firefox symbols in my Dock.

The /usr/bin/firefox script in 22.04 launches the firefox snap, but prior to that it rewrites existing launcher/dock favourites. For GNOME Shell for example (which you appear to be running), if the output of $(gsettings get org.gnome.shell favorite-apps) contains an entry pointing to "firefox.desktop", it will rewrite it to "firefox_ firefox. desktop" .
Can you share the output of $(gsettings get org.gnome.shell favorite-apps) here (possibly redacted to avoid leaking your personal preferences other than firefox)?
