MAAS version not found when MAAS is installed via snap

We still need to figure out a way to inject the MAAS version when MAAS is in a snap:

MAAS data source is http://10-1-10-0--23.maas-internal:5248/MAAS/metadata/
MAAS server's IP address is 10.1.10.3
MAAS version is unknown

That's from a recent run on a system attached to Weavile, which uses the snap.

Perhaps we can change this whole thing so that when MCS is installed, we create a file like /etc/maas-version on the maas server (or wherever it needs to be created) and that contains the deb package version or the snap version on the host...
