This week I upgraded to 5.15.0-43-generic (Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS) and the problem is MUCH worse. Now the "failed to query" error message spews out continuously (hundreds of times per second) as soon as the uvcvideo module is loaded. The capture card does appear to work properly (at least I am able to record both video and audio off of it using the Linux version of OBS) and the first time OBS accesses the card, the log message spew appears to stop. At first I thought that maybe it was because I booted up without a video source plugged into the card, but it turns out the same behavior occurs whether or not a video source is plugged into the card.
