Bug Description

Fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04 on multi-boot system.

Steps:
1. Switch on computer.
2. You see for about 10 seconds a black screen instead GRUB MENU.
3. After 10 seconds Ubuntu boots normally.

Extra tests:
- During the 10 seconds of black screen, I can press ENTER and Ubuntu will boot.
- I thought that maybe grub menu was just not visible but still there, so I've tried to use "arrow keys" (up and down) to select a different system and then press Enter... but nothing happened, the screen remained black.

During boot the ESC key should get you out of the splash screen application. At least on Kubuntu this works.

The GRUB menu should be shown if in /etc/default/grub you remove "splash" from the command line and then run 'update-grub'.

Thanks, tried both workarounds but with no success.

Didn't mention before but switching on my computer I can still get the EFI boot menu pressing F12. From there I can select any other system and set one of them as the default system at boot.

I also experience this issue with a freshly installed 22.04.2. It might be related to GRUB 2 package of Ubuntu - because, if I launch the system from another OS grub menu (configured with grub-customizer to see this Ubuntu) - then there's no black screen during the boot of 22.04.2 and I am able to see the text logs during the boot process. This issue might be also related to that I'm using the crappy NVidia card (which, unlike AMD, doesn't have the official opensource drivers and is bad for opensource in general)
