Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy with the Gnome panel on a standard notebook with a 1024 LCD screen.

When I click anywhere inside the Inkscape 0.46 window, the window title ("New document 1") disappears and reappears at subsequent mouse clicks, shifting the entire window up and down.

Moving the Gnome Applications-Places-System main panel from horizontal to vertical position (to the side of the screen) makes Inkscape function as expected.

I have no problem with any other application on my system and the previous 0.45 version worked perfectly, so I guess it's not a Gnome bug but something in Inkscape 0.46.

Thanks for your bug report!

If your screen size is 1024x768, this is very likely due to bug 168648 ("the minimum window size is too large"). Does the problem go away if you 'tear off' or hide the toobox (View->Show/Hide->Toolbox) ?

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Incomplete

Yes it does. Sorry for posting a duplicate, I was searching for "window title" instead of "window size". Marking this as a duplicate of 168648.
