Bug Description

see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=698675&highlight=ati

and see picture , the picture is not from my laptop but I get the same error with the drivers listed below
ATI 8.02 on a Dell Vostro 1000 ( AMD x2 + Radeon Xpress 1100-256Mb shared of 1Gb ram )

an easy place to see this is with neverball non-3D acceleration drivers and 3D acceleration

ii xorg-driver-fglrx 1:7.1.0-8-02+2.6.24.9-10.27 Video driver for ATI graphics accelerators
