Bug Description

I'm running a sager d400E notebook, the synaptic touchpad is responding sporadically. It will hesitate for a few seconds and then resopond and move a few inches on the screen. I'm running hardy with the most recent updates as of February 26th

Thanks for your bug report.
Could you please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? Can you do some actions (for example using the keyboard) when the touchpad is freezed?

andrea, thanks for the reply, it looks like I had the acceleration on my xorg.conf file set way to high so it was extremely sensitive to my movement and was jumping to the edge of the screen. all is well now. Thanks
