netvibes.com rendering broken in last firefox 3 update

Last update: 3.0~b3+nobinonly-0ubuntu4 completely broke netvibes.com.
I attach a screenshot of the actual rendered page that looks like a mix of pieces of other tabs page and some desktop elements. Also, the rendering slow down the whole system.

sorry, the system. a ubuntu hardy up to date, NO nvidia driver and no compiz (due to serious performance issue with firefox himself reported elsewhere on launchpad).

hardware is a dell xps 1530, intel core 2 duo, nvidia 8600m gt.

ff3 has gnome extension installed.
