Bug Description

Did a fresh install of Alpha-5 64-bit last night using alternate CD. This morning I had some updates available and ran them. It was a distribution upgrade. It removed evolution-common as being an "unused" package. Evolution is now not available AND I cannot reinstall it (evolution-common will not install as there is no candidate version available).

I was able to get a working version going again by installing evolution, evolution-common, evolution-exchange off of the Alpha 5 CD.

I also had to remove .evolution folder due to a sync problem.

Thanks for your comments. This does not appear to be a bug report as such. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise your question in the support tracker. http://launchpad.net/support. There is no need to send bugs about transitional uninstallability issues on uninstable that's expected when new versions are uploaded

Changed in evolution:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid
