Bug Description

Hello. I'm installing kernel 5.15.13-051513-generic from kernel.ubuntu.com and it's the last working kernel for my laptop. On branch 5.16.0 (I check at RC1 and at 5.16.0) I have a kernel panic immediately after BIOS initialization.

Laptop: Lenovo
Model: 20RA002SRT

Stack trace in attached images.

Mainline kernels from https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ are not supported. Your traces show that the kernel can't find the root device, so maybe a missing driver.
