Bug Description
We did some tweaking via Ubuntu delta for PHP 8.0 and PHP 8.1 transitions. And now that they're both in, I'd like to sync it back, mostly because it's FTBFS'ing already, in the present state. And that's causing other problems.
Will sync now and then work it out later.
