Bug Description

I noticed that that my web cam seems lagging with cheese under Hardy Alpha 5. Other programs that use my web cam (Skype, eikga, etc...) do not share this problem under Hardy. Cheese did not have this problem under Ubuntu 7.10.

Does this happen when using the camera in low-light situations? Many cameras lower the frame rate when the light it poor. My camera does that, if I have auto exposure enabled.

The lighting condition does not matter. Does the same thing in well light areas.

The problem is definitively the framerate...

Set the resolution lower in preferences (they appear in Ubuntu 8.10). That fixes the lag.

Setting it to invalid, as the resolution was set too high.
