can't sort by number of albums per artist

Bug Description

Binary package hint: listen

I want to sort my music collection by the number of albums per artist - and I can't!

Winamp (for example) has the option to sort your media library by number of albums per artist / number of songs per genre / number of songs per artist etc.

This should be very useful (at least for me)!

(using Listen 0.5 on gutsy)

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately this would not be described as a bug, but a feature that could be included in future versions. Hence I have marked it invalid.

I don't have the authority to change the importance to "Wishlist", which would be more appropriate.

Regards,

Ciaran,

we don't normally close feature request, but forward them upstream so that the upstream developers know about it.

Would you mind forwarding this upstream?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Only starting out with triaging, and I know I'll make mistakes.

How is the forwarding formally done? Is it just emailed to the developers, put on a mailing list, or added to their bug tracker?

Regards,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Xubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Xubuntu release, Hardy Heron 8.04.01 or Intrepid Ibex 8.10? Thanks in advance.
