French text under gnome-splash screen login are truncated

Bug Description
Under breezy up-to-date 09 aout 2005
When i log in gnome, i can see the gnome splash screen.
Icones are well displayed but not texts under them.
I have texts like "ilus" for "nautilus" or
"etre" for "gestionnaire de fenêtre" ...
