Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image

Neither /proc/acpi/alarm or /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm exist on the Hardy Heron kernel 2.6.24, so no mechanism exist for waking up a sleeping/powered down computer. Gutsy had /proc/acpi/alarm, but apparently that mechanism has been deprecated since 2.6.22.

Here's more information on the subject matter:

System:
# uname -a
Linux htpc 2.6.24-8-generic #1 SMP Thu Feb 14 20:13:27 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

This seems to be resolved. /proc/acpi/alarm made a comeback.
