Power Manager Applet giving incorrect information

Bug Description

The Power Management Applet is displaying incorrect/missing information. I am running Hardy Alpha 5 on a laptop and the applet is saying that the computer is running on AC power ( which is correct) but it also says "battery state could not be read at this time" and "battery charge time is currently unknown".
