Hi,

What's up with this ~2 years ITP ? :)

Well, I wanted to complete this bug with the rtirq homepage :
* http://alsa.opensrc.org/Rtirq

I tested latest one from :
* http://www.rncbc.org/jack/rtirq-20070101.tar.gz

Until, this "itp" package is published somewhere (like mentors.d.n)
You can get my quick and dirty package on my personal repo :

* http://rzr.online.fr/contrib.htm

Hope this help
Regards

Hi,

Apparently 64studio and ubuntu are also on this package :

  http://apt.64studio.com/64studio/testing/pool/main/r/rtirq/
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntustudio/+bug/195033/

So let's reuse this else If you dont plan to package it please retitle
the bug to RFP status

Regards

retitle 307786 RFP: rtirq -- Startup script for realtime-preempt enabled kernels
noowner 307786
thanks

Making this a RFP, it looks like Free (please correct me if I'm wrong) is no
longer interested.

Cheers,

I am actually interested, but ftp-masters rejected my package about
1.5 years ago because they consider it to tiny (it is just a init
script). However that package is as tiny as important, it is a
must-have in Linux audio systems using realtime kernels (it sets the
correct priority to the IRQ-thread of the soundcard).

Do you think I should try to re-upload it motivating the need of the
package? Or try to find another package able to "host" the script? (I
would personally prefer the latter, I don't see problems in tiny
packages, there are a lot of dummy ones around after all)

Ciao,

Free

Why don't you first try the former and then the latter? I see no
reason to deny it.
I mean, it will actually use less bandwidth and resources than most packages :)
