Bug Description

Maximum refresh rate i have under 1280x1024 resolution is 54 Hz
Whats wrong ???

Info:
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce4 MX 440
Monitor: Dell M782
Distro: Ubuntu 7.10

In order to be able to trace the source of your problem, it would help if you could post your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu better. This is a documented feature of the NVIDIA drivers (due to DynamicTwinView) and is not fixable by Ubuntu. I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug 92599 which is to change the configuration of the NVIDIA drivers on install.
