Bug Description
When I start Hardy Alpha 5, I get the error message:
"There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon.
Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly.
The last error message was:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
GNOME will still try to restart the Settings Daemon next time you log in."
This happens on my HP dv6345us laptop. After I dismissed the message, everything seemed to be fine anyhow..

I can confirm this bug since Alpha 5 (the first hardy Alpha I've tried) up to now with daily updates.
But I have this bug only in a particular case :
My laptop (Gnome 2.22.1 Ubuntu Hardy Heron) is setup to be connected to
my home wifi network.
When I start my laptop at home, the Wifi network is there -> no pb !
When I start elsewhere without the Wifi network, I get a gnome-setting- daemon
warning ~*There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon ...*
