Bug Description

I have sound controller only on wave surround, which controls Master volume. Headphone volume works fine. None of the other controllers have any effect. My PCI card SB-live platinum was working quite fine with edgy, is broken since gutsy.
lspci :
01:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 07)
01:06.1 Input device controller: Creative Labs SB Live! Game Port (rev 07)
I tried with alsamixer and the gnome volume controller. I'm quite lost.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 alpha 6?

Note that the SB Live Master element is misleading, as it may not in fact be a "Master".

(You may also wish to clear your /var/lib/alsa/asound.state file, unload ^snd modules, and reload them. At that point, you can issue an `alsactl store' to save the current mixer element state.)
