Bug Description

Bug 1837478 gave us angular staff catalog search templates. As an enhancement, having a Default search template that could be set from within the staff interface would be another great time saver to prevent having to select the most frequently used template each time the search screen is opened.

Agreed. Either being able to choose a default or having your choice be sticky would be preferred.

I prefer there be the ability to select a default template similar to selecting a default in the Create New MARC Record interface.

See Bug 1028663 - Add OPAC search templates so that librarians can set predefined search criteria.

Language in parts of the ticket (including title) are deprecated (references to using OPAC inside the client) but several ideas and suggestions as well as links to tangential and integral tickets are included.
