Touchpad, graphics and slow programs

After computer turned off for battery saving, kernel is not able to access touchpad. Furthermore, desktop is not able to show a clean image and a lot of programs have become very slow (specially zoom and firefox). Problem persists after reboots, but is entirely new after the battery saving shut down event.
