QTQR generated SEPA QR-code not accepted by banking app

Bug Description

When choosing "SEPA Single Payment" as data type and filling in all the fields, the generated QR-code is rejected by my banking app. The app states that no currency has been provided.

When I provide the relevant data as text, following the format specified in this Wikipedia article (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPC-QR-Code), the resulting QR-code is accepted.

Therefore, I suppose the data is not put in the correct format when "SEPA Single Payment" is used as data type.

Hello!

The QR code generated by the Wikipedia link you shared it's not the same as the "SEPA Single Payment", you can see the original request for including single payment here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qr-tools/+bug/1741772

Unfortunately, I can't read German, so I don't know if the old one still applies.

In any case, QtQR has reached its EOL, but if you want to send a PR / patch I'll happily review it and add it.

Thanks!
Ramiro.

Hi Ramiro,

there is an equivalent Wikipedia article in English: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPC_QR_code .
I found that the format specified in Wikipedia works with my banking app, so I suppose it should be generally acceptable. Attached is the official specification, which has some more detail (and is in English too :-)

Unfortunately, I cannot code. Otherwise I'd be more than happy to rework the SEPA payment part.

Cheers
