Bug Description

I tried setting nomodeset, it allowed me to boot but i am not able to control brightness and other stuff.

Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug.

That's correct, 'nomodeset' disables the graphics driver so things will stop working.

Please remove 'nomodeset' and then open a new bug about whatever the original problem was.
