No Audio coming out and video being very slow from openshot preview

I can't hear any audio coming out from openshot despite having no trouble at all when i used the previous build. And the video for some reason also plays slowly despite not being slowed down at all. I tried to use my speaker several times for videos on youtube and the likes and it doesn't seems to have any problems.

Can anyone tell me what to do and explains it in a way that a not very tech savvy person could understand?

Architecture (64 bits or 32 bits) : 64 bits
Operating System & version: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor & Windows 8.1 pro
Installation Method : Uh...i installed it normally from the site and followed the installer instructions?
Version of Openshot installed : Openshot 2.6.1

Same here.

I've used OpenShot on hundreds of videos before upgrading to 2.6.1.

The preview barely plays. It is super slow and no sound coming out of it.

Computer: HP Elitebook laptop
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-865OU CPU @ 1.90GHz 2.11 GHz

System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
