Viewing PDF doesn't use full screen width

Bug Description

In Thunderbird 91, clicking on a .pdf attachment to an email loads the PDF file in a new tab, which is good. However, the view of the PDF file only uses about 2/3rds of the screen width, and leaves a large empty grey area on the right hand side of the screen. Zooming in on the document only zooms within the existing area, and does not expand to the grey area.

Thanks for reporting it upstream! The issue is not happening here using the current 91.1.2 deb or the 91.2.0 snap

I deleted my userContent.css, and the problem is fixed. Sorry to have wasted your time! You're welcome to close this bug report.

Thanks, closing then. There might still be a bug though if userContent.css got in a buggy state unless you manually edited it? Anyway that's more of an upstream question and can be discussed on their bugzilla if needed

Yes, I had manually edited userContent.css quite a few years ago for a formatting problem on a much older version of Thunderbird, and never got round to removing my edits.
