Bug Description
What Happened
1) Open GNOME Shell to the activities overview
2) Change the resolution (eg if using a VM resize it)
3) Notice that we switch to the desktop view
What I expected to happen:
At step 3 to remain in the activities overview.

OK, I've figured out what is going on. If you are on the activities overview and you change the resolution of the VM it then goes back to the desktop.
I'll see if there are any bugs upstream as it happens on Fedora rawhide as well ...
