Bug Description

When installing linux-modules-5.11.0-1016-raspi 5.11.0-1016.17 I do get the rpi_poe_fan module and can modprobe or insmod it. I can even find it under the relevant path in /lib/modules.

After a reboot it appears that the module has been removed. Why?

Removed as in from the filesystem or from the kernel?

I will give a full example in thursday. The issue is still there.

In proza:

If I do not put the module in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules the module will not be there after a reboot (e.g. remove from the filesystem).

And this is so for a lot of the other modules. I am booting from iSCSI and even the NFS modules are gone. As far as I know this wasn't the case in previous version.

Behaviour has been detected in:
  20.04, 21.04 and 21.10

Apologies for the delay

Kind regards,

   Pascal
