Reporting a bug fails because of error message "Invalid core dump"

Bug Description
After starting my desktop, I received a message that (I believe) gnome-shell encountered an issue and I confirmed to send this report to ubuntu. However, the submission process failed because of the following error message:

Although it sounds like gnome-shell crashed, truncated core files are not the fault of the program that crashed.
Please delete all core files in /tmp/ and /var/crash/ and then next time gnome-shell crashes,
1. Wait 10 seconds.
2. Reboot.
3. Run this command:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
4. Attach the resulting text file here.
