Can't receipt message from gmail

To receive and send mail I use Gmail. To verify the settings of my mail program, I send a test email to my email address, but when, and then I try to get this mail message with Mozilla Thunderbird it does not download it, although if go to the mail system via a web interface gmail.com this message will be in your inbox .

This does not appear to be a bug. Most likely it is a problem with your configuration. I currently access gmail with Thunderbird with no issue.

i have the same problem thunderbird can't read my gmail account and when i check on use secure authentication it give me a message that server don't support secure authentication so its a bug i know its not a configuration thing because when i added the account i give it a gmail account which puts everything automatically and i also check the settings that it puts they are all correct and working on evolution mail
