The article *Firefox 90 on POWER (and a JIT progress report)* [1] summarizes the issue in NSS. It’s upstream bug report 1566124 [2], and there are two simple patches to be applied to NSS 3.66.
Starting Firefox with `NSS_DISABLE_ PPC_GHASH= 1` works around the issue.
