Bug Description
I have HP PS 8450 and the current HPLIP drivers in Linux do not offer option (which is present in the Windows XP drivers) to print in photo quality mode with only the grey cartridge so the resulting prints are strictly B&W. The same applies to the HP PS 8750 as seen in the question 17586.
