Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  koffice2: Depends: kdebase-runtime-bin but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

$ apt-cache show koffice2 | head -8

Please add kdebase-runtime-bin to the install line -> i.e.
sudo apt-get install koffice2 kdebase-runtime-bin

Do this as long as needed to get some more helpful error description (the problem is probably in an underlying package dependency).

Changed in koffice2:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Incomplete

The problem is in the kdebase-runtime package. The final Gutsy backport doesn't provide kdebase-runtime-bin.
