Cannot resize ntfs partitions in Ubiquity.

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

To reproduce:
Create an NTFS partition with mkntfs.
Run ubiquity on LiveCD.
Choose manual partitioning
Right click ntfs partion, and select edit

In the dialog no "New partition size" entry will be available. This entry is available for ext3 partitions.

Workaround:
Resize NTFS partitions using gparted.

Could you please attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman to this bug, following the directions in http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs? Thanks in advance.

(I initially thought this was due to ntfsprogs being missing, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'll add an explicit dependency just to make sure.)

Feb 20 01:24:19 ubuntu ntfsresize: ERROR: Device '/dev/sda1' is mounted read-write. You must 'umount' it first.

Did you mount this explicitly before starting the installer? It looks from the logs as if you did some fiddling about, including running gparted, before you started the installer.

Yes, I manually mounted sda1.

You need to not mount the partition in order to resize it.
