Bug Description

Hi Everyone.

So my touchpad has stopped working now out of the blue. I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 1370, and I installed Ubuntu yesterday.

It was working perfectly, but it has stopped working as soon as I got into tablet mode.

This laptop has the ability to fold its keyboard, so I did that and turn the laptop in 90 degrees (which the screen also turned due to the gyroscope). When we do this, its normal that the cursor disapears so we can you use only the touchscreen as a tablet, however when I turned back to a laptop the touchpad hasn't worked ag=0ain.

I have rebooted the system, but still not signs of it.

I have executed "cat /proc/bus/input/devices", but didn't find anything related to the touchpad, as the result shows below, so I think it's a kernel issue, right? Any thought how I could fix this?

Thank you!

After a full shutdown, the touchpad is working again. However. everytime I go into "tablet mode" by folding the keyboard, the touchpad continues to work (and is not disabled as expected).

After 5 minutes working, if has stopped working again and required a full restart (shutdown and turn-on afterwards).

***************************Update2**********************
My touchpad has stopped working completely. After 2 days of Ubuntu installlation, it has completely stopped working. Sometimes when I start the laptop, the cursor appear on the bottom right side of the screen, but I cant move it.

After several restarts, nothing works.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have tried to install Synaptics drivers, but no results at all.

Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I see no evidence of a system upgrade (from 20.10 to say 21.04) having taken place... the installation media was 21.04 & system is still currently 21.04, thus package was changed from `ubuntu-release-upgrader` to the `linux` kernel.

Bug reporting is about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709

Could you run apport-collect 1932528 to collect logs for your bug report? I'll have more information about the interrupts and how it connect.

It would be better to give me the content of the `rdesc` file under /sys/kernel/debug/hid/0018:03EB:8A10.0001/ and the output of `cat /sys/kernel/debug/hid/0018:03EB:8A10.0001/events` for any actions on your touchpad.
