Seems to be common to people using a realtime kernel, I have the problem in gutsy with the linux-rt kernel and linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-rt.

Hi NickRout,

Hardy Heron Alpha4 was recently released. It contains an updated version of the kernel. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha4 release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/alpha-4/ . You should be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD. I don't have a spare machine to run alpha software on. It should be fixed in the current release.

This attitude puts me off ubuntu in a big way!

But the livecd won't have the -rt kernel will it? (unless the is a live-cd of ubuntu-studio?).

The bug is only against the -rt kernel, not the -386 kernel.

No. -rt isn't on any live disk. If you can install and help test things for Hardy it will help others as well.
