Angular Catalogue: Search Scope Sometimes Doesn't Change

Bug Description

Evergreen 3.7beta

When searching in the new staff catalogue we've had several instances where you change the search library but Evergreen continues to use your previous search library.

We've been able to tell this is happening because the org ID in the URL doesn't match the ID of the shortcode selected for the search library and the catalogue returns results for the previously selected search library.

So far this is happening intermittently and we haven't been able to reproduce on purpose.

To search with your new search library you have to open the catalogue in a new tab.

After more testing we've discovered that the issue occurs when you type in the shortcode but don't actually select it from the drop down list. It looks like you've switched search libraries but Evergreen doesn't actually register the change.

I noticed this when we upgraded to 3.6. You have to actively select the library in any drop down menu to get it to register. Just typing in the code doesn't select it, as you note.

Marking this Confirmed.

To reproduce on a concerto system:

Choose Search the Catalog from the Search menu
Highlight the contents of the Org Unit selector (which is CONS by default)
Type BR1, note that the Org Unit selector is now filtered to BR1
Click in the Query box, the Org Unit selector shows BR1
Perform a search
Note that your results are at the CONS level.

Changed in evergreen:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Medium
