Bug Description

Docs at:
https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/sharing-desktop.html.en
for 21.04 seem incomplete or incorrect.
See attached screenshot.

A fresh minimal install was done.
vino was installed using apt in terminal.
vm was rebooted.
screen sharing is not showing up as docs indicate.

That does not sound as a docs bug to me, but it's the functionality you are wondering about. So closing this bug.

My advice would be to seek support at first hand at e.g. https://askubuntu.com to find out if you missed anything.

Also, vino is an obsolete tool; see this docs issue:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-user-docs/-/issues/124

So maybe the proper first step for you is to try to make use of gnome-remote-desktop instead.
