backport fix for upstream bug: kdeinit5 crashes in ThumbnailProtocol::get() every time I take a screenshot or start the computer

Would it be possible to backport this fix to affected Ubuntu releases ASAP as it's quite irritating every time you take a screenshot.

I detected it on hirsute, not sure what other releases could be affected.
