Bug Description

Bug report and description:

When using MATE with Compiz windowmanager in Linux Mint 20.1, playing videos with players like vlc, celluloid, mpv, totem videos get stuttering in overview with compiz plugin scale when all windows of all workspaces are shown (Audio of the video runs normal). If the workspace is active, where the video player ist playing the video, the scaled videopictures runs smoothly. But if i change to an other workspace (not the workspace where the video is playing) the scaled video in overwiew becomes stuttering (audio of the video runs normal). mpv player gives an orange warning that a problem has occurerd.

This occures only with the Intel graphics driver i965. If i change the video to Nvidia graphics card with optimus, the videos in scale overview runs fine in every active workspace.

This problem exists since Ubuntu 16.04 and above versions. Same behavior in Ubuntu MATE 20.04 and Ubuntu Unity7 18.04.

In Ubuntu 20.04 (with Gnome 3) videos with Intel graphics runs normal in scaled overview of all workspaces, in elementary OS 5.1.2 (base is Ubuntu 18.04) video runs normal in overview of all windows in all workspaces (hot corner)
