Bug Description

I design stickers and use the Linked offset. When I get to the 3rd sticker I do the same steps (Path>Object to Path, Combine. Path> Object to Path> Linked offset. I will go to grab the white dot and the system hangs then states Not Responding. Under Task Manager under Performance it looks like there is a memory leak. See screen shot.

Hi, thanks for reporting.

Could you please open a new issue in inkscape.org/report, following the template there? An example file (with the simplest path that triggers the bug) would be helpful.

Note that this may be the same issue as https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/2015

We also typically suggest using the Offset LPE instead (you can find it in the Path Effect dialog, Ctrl+Shift+7 or equivalent for Ctrl+& should open the dialog), but it is possible it may also freeze in this case.

Closing the issue here as we no longer use this bug tracker.
