kde resume from suspend & resume.d scripts

Bug Description

There have been several reports about this. Some older than half a year. But the main thing is that the /etc/acpi/resume.d scripts are not being called. This has serious effects like cpu scaling not working properly. And the anacron system isn't being called.

Do other people still have this same problem? or is it an regression in hardy, or did kubuntu not properly update on my system?

Are you using KDE3 or 4? (The reports older than half a year are probably for KDE3)

For me, the hibernate function in the logout dialog do nothing, but pm-hibernate (from a virtual console) does work.
Hibernation worked for KDE3 from KDE itself.
Does hibernation (suspend to disk) work for you, but only suspend to ram does not?
Are you using KDE3?
Have you tried calling pm-hibernate?

I'm sorry I haven't been that thorough in describing the scenario.
some points:
I'm using kde3
It does suspend, and my post is meant mainly for S3 mode (suspend to ram). But the resume.d scripts are never called.
The resume.d scripts are to be called after a suspend to ram right? Or only after suspend to disk?

pm-* doesn't work.
What does the suspend button do in the end-session popup of the kde?
does it use pm-* with some quirks, or does KDE use its own suspend function?

smarter on #kubuntu-devel said that /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh gets called for hibernation in KDE3.
Yes, I think the resume.d scripts should be called on wakeup.
Do the scripts get called for hibernation? or it it the same as with suspend to ram?

How does pm-hibernate not work.. You should probably create a new bug report for it (and link there from here)

scripts don't get called when waking up from hibernation. Although hibernating itself does work when using the kde3 hibernation.

and the pm-*, they should be working on a kubuntu machine?
and just to be sure, this thread's bug, isn't necessary connected to the pm-* problem is it?
mean the pm-* apps use a whole different subsystem right?

Is this an issue in Intrepid?
