Bug Description

So installing the fcitx- googlepinyin I noticed that my Lenovo T490 laptop was unable to start up. It got stuck on the startup screen and just stayed there.
    $sudo apt install fcitx-googlepinyin

To recover my system I had to hardboot (hold powerbutton until shutdown), press enter to enter menu, f1 to enter BIOs and finally clicking restart without saving changes, and immediately after holding and pressing shift to enter the recovery mode. In here I selected recovery mode, the entered shell prompt and removed the package and my system worked just fine again.

I removed the package using

    $sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fcitx*

I hope this issue can be solved and if not, at least I hope my experience can help other recover.
