I upgraded my system from 19.10/Eoan to 20.04 and when I go to the overview (Activities menu/hotspot), search an application and click on it it no longer launches. If I right click on it and select "Add to favorites" and then go to the dock and click on it it launches fine.
I have not been able to find how to debug this issue but it is very annoying. Someone said it may have to do with the way .desktop files are handled now.
Can someone please help?
Thank you!
