Bug Description

Affer upgrading to 20.04 our graphite-carbon installation started crashing. After some troubleshooting there is a bug related to cache write strategy as pointed out here, https://github.com/graphite-project/carbon/issues/828.

This has been fixed is however and seems to be updated in hirsute and groovy to 1.1.7-1 where this is fixed. However this release is not in 20.04 so could you please update the graphite-carbon package in 20.04 ?

if you need the fix for now, I temp added Hirsute to sources.list and issued, sudo apt-get --only-upgrade true install graphite-carbon, of course removing the hirsute repo's after. I will report everything remained stable and has worked properly since. If you would like I can post an exact guide of what I did, and the resulting output for proof.

The workaround above (#2) seems to work in my environment. Thanks for posting.
